Blog 53 - Yet Another Unexciting Blog Post

Not feeling too creative recently haha. More studying for today, chemistry midterm tomorrow like I mentioned in my previous blog post. I'm actually at Thompson and I have forgotten how nice this library really is. When my dad came to visit me here last year I took him (obviously) to the RPAC and Thompson and he was really impressed, telling me "Oh so THIS is where my money is going! Good good...." haha. My dad is so funny. He even got brochures from the library and gym to bring home to show my mom.

Actually, now that I think about it I forgot to mention about the package I got from my mom on Friday. I love getting packages from my mom, mainly because she usually packs them with some combination of magazines, food, and clothes :) I got my package and it was SO heavy, and when I opened it up there were 3 magazines sitting at the top. I joyfully took them out and saw SO MUCH FOOD I WAS SO HAPPY!!! She packed some fruits, cookies, and drinks ahhh so happy! There were two of my favorite fruits (though really I love all fruits so I guess all fruits would be considered my 'favorites'...) persimmons and an Asian grapefruit, which is basically a regular grapefruit but 3x bigger and sweeter :D I can't wait to eat it...I have to find the right time to eat it to make the most of it. I get so excited with food its ridiculous. Anyway I think I've reached 250 words, I'm out.

A persimmon (yes it looks kind of like a tomato!) :

  1. That is exciting to get packages of food sent from your mom. I really liked it when my parents sent me these nice Ohio State cups. It was thoughtful of them. It made me appreciate them that much more.

  2. I think just getting anything in the mail (that isn't junk mail, of course) is really exciting. I guess I like it because I know that someone was thinking of me and spent their time to let me know by sending me something - it's just a lot more personal than something sent electronically :)

  3. yeah the RPAC and library are nice, I just wished the money was more evenly divided for things like the music building or whatnot. Oh well. And the library seems to always be crowded, I like studying by myself for some reason.
