Blog 63 - Cleveland

So for Thanksgiving I can't go home because there weren't any plane tickets for me to take home this year. So luckily, my roommate and her family were nice enough to let me stay for the four day weekend. As nice as they are and I really am thankful for them letting me stay because if they didn't...I'd probably be in the dorms all alone...well okay maybe not I'd probably find someone else's house to go to but whatever...anyway as much as I'm so glad that I get to go to their home for Thanksgiving, I really do wish I could go home too. I know it's only two more weeks after this week until I go home, but at the same time I really do miss my family.


Anyway, I wanted to get my roommate's family a small gift just to show them that I'm really thankful for letting me stay, so I pretended I was going to class when really I was going to buy them some chocolates and a card. That worked out really great because it was raining (please note tone of sarcasm here). Yeah...it was raining...and cold...and I didn't have an umbrella or anything. Not only that, by the time I was walking back I decided to take the CABS bus but it took me down 18th since it was the east route, which is new this year btw, so I had no idea that it even was going there. Then while I got off the bus I had this huge craving for coffee so I walked back to SEL and lo and behold the coffee place was closed even though the sign said it wouldn't close until 5 and it was only 4:30. Sigh. Anyway, ranting done. I got the gift and that's what counts right?


I found these ADORABLE cards that just have quotes on the front...and I'm a huge sucker for quotes so I loved them when I saw them at barnes and noble...so cute oh god <3
