Blog 47 - Hellogoodbye

Wooo!! Hellogoodbye's CD has finally released!! They haven't had a CD release for 4 years and finally, after such a hiatus, they've released their new album Would It Kill You. I'm kind of excited and already downloaded it and am listening to it right now. If you guys aren't familiar with Hellogoodbye, they're kind of a pop/indie/electronic sound...technically categorized as "power pop" or "indie pop." Their new sound is definitely different from their first released CD, and more similar to their songs from their second album Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs! Their new sound is pretty nice though and it's kind of just fun and relaxed, which is something I like to hear. One song of theirs thats pretty well known is All of Your Love, and Here In Your Arms is pretty well known too.

Another band that I found during the summer that I SUPER love is Marianas Trench. They're a Canadian rock pop band and I love their song Celebrity Status, which is super catchy. Has anyone heard of them? They're so great. They aren't that mainstream or popular right now, but I feel like their music is so good that they really could catch on.

I also found the Debutaunts this summer. They're not well known at least when I found them, and it was super hard to try to find their music anywhere -- not even on youtube, and youtube has everything! Anyway, they're a little more indie rock sounding, and I think their song and music video This Is Yours is really fun.

I always get excited when I find new music. I think most everyone can agree that music is something that we all can really connect with and enjoy. Something about it just makes you so happy, it's such a great feeling!
